Holy Basil, or Tulsi, typically grows as a bushy, upright plant reaching heights of 2 to 3 feet. Its bright green leaves can be smooth or slightly fuzzy and emit a distinct aroma. The stems may be green or purplish, especially in certain varieties. Tulsi produces small, white to purple flowers that grow in spikes, attracting bees and other pollinators. Notably, there are several varieties of Tulsi, including Rama Tulsi with green leaves and Krishna Tulsi with purple leaves, each offering unique flavors and health benefits.
